Welcome back Lovelies Happy Monday!
One of the best days ever my birthday was last month on September 16 - shout out to all my Virgos! I did a lot of celebrating with friends and family. I went to see Rob Thomas at The D Event Center and went to Newport Beach. I went to dinner a few times and of course had a lovely brunch at Lovely Honey Salt. I love brunches if you haven’t noticed... I get to sleep in and enjoy cocktails and pancakes.Who doesn’t like that? I have eaten at Honey Salt one other time before or I guess you can say I enjoyed their yummy desserts once before. Me and a girlfriend went in for cocktails and dessert about a year ago and it was delicious! I have been wanting to have dinner there after that, but found the next best thing to have…brunch! I was very excited to hear they had a brunch on Saturdays as well, as it’s rare for places to do brunch any other day but Sunday. I don’t understand why! Brunch is amazing, I could brunch Monday through Sunday if places let me!
Honey Salt is such a lovely restaurant and is owned by the lovely Elizabeth Blau and her hubby chef Kim Canteenwalla. I love seeing couples seek success together in a business, it’s like a romantic storybook. The couple also has a couple of other lovely restaurants around the Las Vegas area such as Andrion Steakhouse inside Red Rock Hotel and Casino and Buddy V’s Ristorante at Grand Canal Shoppes inside The Venetian. They all are very elegant and lovely with unique décor and menu items, and cocktails you will fall in love with over and over again. Honey Salt has a rustic style with wood and brick, and a elegant chandelier dangling in the center of the dining room. They have a patio area with lights hanging for evening dinners and now a separate private dining room for any occasion. Brunch was with my lovely boyfriend and our two close friends Will and Ally. They were all treating me to brunch for my birthday. We had a lovely server Dominique that suggested bottomless drinks to start off with. The options were bottomless Mimosas for $18 and bottomless Bloody Mary’s for $25 it was a steal. I went the bloody route for the day since the night before I was out celebrating a little more than I should have… The one great thing about the bottomless Bloody’s was you can do Micheladas as well or just a draft beer. So you have options - who doesn’t like options?! I switch it up between courses to fit with the dishes I was eating. The food...let’s get to the good stuff already!
We shared everything family style so we could get to try all the lovely dishes that caught our eye. We started with their famous Monkey bread! It was so gooey and sweet with hint’s of cinnamon and bourbon it was gone in seconds. We then had Nutella French toast, breakfast pizza, Biloxi buttermilk Chicken sandwich and a side of seasoned potatoes with caramelized onions and peppers. It was all very lovely and filling! I of course also got to enjoy dessert two for that matter, Banana foster and with a chocolate cake that had “Happy Birthday Shaunte” written in chocolate… any girls dream! It was a very nice gesture and made me feel extra special and loved. I was so thrilled I chose Honey Salt to help celebrate my special day! Before leaving I went to the restroom and came across a hand sugar scrub, that makes you feel like your hands are silk, so smooth and silky to the touch. It was the best scrub I’ve ever used! You can purchase the scrub there as well to have in your very own home! I didn’t pick one up that day, but plan on getting it during my next visit! Thank you to Dominique for taking such great care of us, your personality and efficiency really make the experience so lovely! Thank you also to Elizabeth Blau for creating such a lovely restaurant and having us that afternoon! My birthday celebration couldn’t have been any better! Thank you for reading Lovelies and I hope to see you at Honey Salt one day for brunch or dinner!
Xoxo Shaunté
