Hello Lovelies!
I am so excited for the Life is Beautiful festival this week! I am going to talk to you about one of my favorite food trucks that will be there “50 Shades of Green”. If you are a student at UNLV you might have seen them on campus, their truck is there Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 3 pm. They will be serving their full menu at Life is beautiful along with some surprise goodies that haven’t been public yet, like a chicken burrito bowl and ahi poke bowl. YUM! The main reason I love them is they use all natural ingredients. No hormone no pesticide’s and 80% of all their products are organic. They make all their salad dressings and sauces from scratch, pretty impressive and delish if you ask me. I am really big on knowing what I put into my body while at home I always try to use all natural ingredients when cooking, I love knowing I can get a meal on the go and know it’s something I would have made. This truck is ran by two wonderful individuals I have been lucky enough to meet Julio and his lovely wife Kelly. They started this business once Kelly got pregnant they started reading ingredients on everything and realized how much food is processed. They had the idea of being able to have a quick healthy bite on the go without all the extra chemicals and hormones and created 50 Shades of Green. Their food isn’t “healthy” in the sense of calories, but all natural ingredients. They do offer healthy options with fewer calories like their Caprese salad, one of my personal favorites. They also do meal preps with multiple package plans that can be delivered right to your door. The cool thing about their meal plans is the menu for it is constantly changing so you don’t get sick of eating the same thing every day. For me that's genius! I like to meal prep when I can, but struggle with coming up with new meals that fit the calorie count I am looking for. The meal plans are a separate menu then what their truck has to offer so for more information visit their website at www.50shadesofgreenlv.com
I am so excited for them to be at Life is Beautiful not only for their yummy food, but they will be serving up fresh pressed juices as well. Being in the sun all day and walking around can really dehydrate and drain you, a fresh pressed juice is a great way to get refreshed. I hope to see all you lovelies at Life is beautiful I will be there hanging out with my friends at 50 shades throughout the festival so stop by and grab a bite.
Have a lovely day and make sure to come back Wednesday for more information on my favorite foods at Life is beautiful Dragon grill & Oming’s Kitchen! See you Wednesday!
Xoxo Shaunté
BLT : This is unlike any other blt you have had with cured smoked bacon, romaine lettuce and organic tomatoes and homemade mayo.
A all natural soda with yummy classic flavors like orange and grape and my favorite Strawberry Kiwi " A little bubble without all the trouble"
My favorite item on the menu Caprei salad: Organic tomatoes, mixed greens, and creamy burrata cheese, topped with a balsamic dressing.
Turkey Pesto a fan favorite: Roasted turkey, hauarti cheese (mild cheddar) with homemade pesto sauce on Dave's killer organic bread.
Breakfast Sandwich: Cage free eggs, cured bacon and white American cheese on a croissant
Be on the look out for another truck by 50 Shades of Green called "Unicorn poop" specializing in shaved snow, it's as if an ice cream and snow cone had a baby. So creamy and good with flavors like Fruity pebbles and toppings of sprinkles, chocolate sauce and fresh fruit it's a treat for any part of your day.
