Krayvings

Hello Lovelies!

Today I am talking about a lovely restaurant that has a variety of feel good food! Krayvings is where you can find options like salads and fresh pressed juices to sandwiches and much more! Their concept is to have fresh, healthy and flavorful food l ocated on the way to Mt. Charleston off the 215 in Summerlin, Nevada. You can find Krayvings open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  I decided to have lunch and dessert when I visited and loved the variety of places to sit. They have a lovely patio that is connected to the front entrance with beautiful flowers and plants all around, and wood tables inside and out - it was a very lovely place to eat.  I met with the owner, Marty, to see what Krayvings was all about. He was really nice along with the whole staff, they were all trying to help me find the perfect dishes to try. They offer seasonal dishes as well as a full menu, and the BBQ pulled chicken sandwich caught my attention. I am not a huge fan of pork so having a traditional pork sandwich made with chicken was a must have for me! I also tried their Sesame chicken chopped salad; it was a great portion size for a salad with tons of topping to fill you up, with a creamy sweet sesame ginger dressing.

I had a strawberry lemonade with my food and it was a nice pair with fresh strawberries inside, it made each sip so refreshing. For dessert I enjoyed a gluten-free brownie made with all different types of beans such as black, garbanzo and many more. The brownie was topped off with some powdered sugar and fresh cut strawberries. It was so rich and chocolaty you would never guess it was made from beans! I would say it was one of the best brownies I ever had! I must get the recipe one day! I enjoyed everything, I had so much that I ordered a juice to go to have before my work out later that day. Daily detox was my choice with oranges, apples, ginger and most importantly beets! I love beets and having them juiced was a nice change and really brings out all the flavors.  I think I found my new spot to go out and eat or grab something for on the go. Located by Red Rock also is awesome for when I go hiking! I know I can stop to get snacks for my trip or to refuel after.  I can’t wait to return and try more amazing dishes and to see what the winter season brings for their seasonal items! To see their full menu and exact location visit their website atwww.krayvings.com

Thanks for reading lovelies and make sure to stop by Krayvings if you craving something yummy fresh and that will make you feel good!

Katsuya Social Hour

Hello Lovelies!

I hope you enjoyed my Foodie Fest feature, now I get to finally tell you about my time at Katsuya for their happy hour! Some of my friends and I had tickets to see Jessie James Decker at The Foundry inside SLS Hotel and casino in Las Vegas.  We decided to have dinner and drinks before the show at Katsuya. I have eaten at Katsuya before for a friend’s birthday last year and with my lovely boyfriend, I really like it here and I think it is one of the best happy hours in Las Vegas! If you love sushi or Japanese style food Katsuya is the place to go!

Their happy hour is from 5-7 daily! That’s right seven days a week of yummy sushi and sake without breaking the bank! The quality of the food is five star and you would never guess what the prices range from; regular priced rolls are $17-$30, but not on happy hour with 50% off you won’t be spending more than $11 on a specialty roll, and it is a full eight-piece roll so you’re not missing any goodness! We did their happy hour cold Ozeki sake and select beer to start along with some spicy edamame, Sautéed Shisito Peppers and Creamy Rock Shrimp all of them were so amazingly good! We shared other dishes like Crispy Brussel Sprouts and some signature rolls. I will let you know everything we got listed with the pictures, don’t worry lovely! The manager Jesus was so nice and took great care of us he brought out a sake flight of a few different sakes for us to try. It was such a fun and filling experience, my friends and I can’t wait to come back!

After finishing up happy hour we headed into the Foundry to our table to watch Jessie James Decker. The concert was so much fun and the venue is very intimate but, spacious it’s the perfect venue for a concert. The concert ended around 11 at night and we headed into Sayers Club inside SLS for the after party! I had some champagne brought out for a toast to my two lovely friends who recently got engaged! It was a perfect finish to such a great night!  It was such a successful girl’s night and a well needed one! Thank you Jesus for helping make our dinner so wonderful and big thank you to my lovely boyfriend for setting us up with everything! You’re the best!! ILY!! Make sure to come back Wednesday lovelies I am sharing a warm light soup that is great all year, but best in the fall and winter to warm you up and keep you full! I also will be sharing with you some of lovely pictures from my two friend’s engagement shoots I shot over the past couple of weeks! It’s a post you won’t want to miss!

Have a Lovely day! See you Wednesday!

Foodie Fest 2016

Hello Lovelies,

This past weekend in Las Vegas was the annual Foodie Fest. It has food from local places around the Las Vegas area as well as other states such as California. I have never attended Foodie Fest in the past, not because I didn’t want to go I just always had work. Well this year my job requires me to go to foodie fest YAY! I absolutely loved it! I can’t believe I have been missing out on some really awesome places…  Foodie fest is a 3-day food event with carnival rides, live music, boutique shops and of course tons of food and drinks! I know I said I had to go to Foodie fest for work and I did, but not all three days. I have been very busy these past couple of weeks therefore not a new post in over a week… I apologize Lovelies. I have a lot of exciting things to share with you though from these past couple of weeks. Within the past month two of my friends have gotten engaged and I took both of their engagement photos. It was so fun and beautiful and I can’t wait to share them with you. Also this past Saturday I had tickets to see Jessie James Decker with some of my girlfriends. We did happy hour at Katsuya inside SLS, they have the best happy hour for any sushi lover! I will be sharing all the dishes we had and just how great happy hour is next Monday!

Now back to Foodie Fest! I arrived Sunday afternoon around 2 and walked around checking out all the different types of food and was trying to make a decision on my first stop. Remember how I said I went out Saturday night? Well I was feeling it Sunday so what caught my eye was a Buffalo chicken sandwich with hot sauce, caramelized onions and blue cheese crumbles it was hang over heaven! This lovely lifesaver was from a food truck “Devilicious” they had this exact sandwich, but on French fries along with a garlic parmesan and much more.  I paired my sandwich with strawberry lemonade from “Liam’s Lemonade stand” I loved how refreshing the lemonade was with fresh strawberries added it was the perfect amount of sweet.

While I was eating I had two Lovely people sit with me Sally and Jacobo they shared with me their experience at Foodie Fest and Jacobo said he attends every year. We all decided to check out “Fluff Ice” to have some dessert they specialize in shaved snow ice cream. I tried the Thai tea because I love, love, love Thai tea! It tastes just like the drink and was pretty creamy.  Sally tried their frosted milk drink and shared a Thai tea ice cream with Jacobo. Fluff Ice offers stamp cards for every order over $4 and after nine purchases you get a med drink or ice cream for free! Who doesn’t like free stuff for getting what you love!

After dessert my friend Ally and Will showed up and we went and got drinks from the Station’s Casino stand draft beer right off the tap! Yum! After walking around playing games we went to this Louisiana food stand “Pearson’s” , where they were grilling shrimp right in front of you, the smell carried through the isle where we were walking and we had to stop and try some dishes!  I am a huge fan of spicy food as I have mentioned before so getting the Jambalaya was a must! I told the cook extra spicy who was grilling the shrimp he was so friendly and nice he made sure it had a kick to it! My friend Ally got the catfish po’boy and hush puppies. Everything was very good and very homemade tasting felt like I traveled to the South.

My Lovely boyfriend finally joined me at Foodie Fest after all the football games finally ended... (Men and football!)  He was hungry of course and a large stick of shrimp someone was carrying around caught his attention! It was at least a 20-inch stick filled with grilled shrimp, it came from “Nic’s” the line had at least 20 people in it, but it was worth the wait! Those shrimps were so delicious! We met up with more friends and continued to walk around and continue eating and drinking.  I saw my two of my favorite trucks “Dragon Grill” and “Oming’s Kitchen” I had to stop by for a bite! My boyfriend had the combo dish from Dragon Grill with all their top sellers Dragon fries, taco, and a slider. It is the perfect trio to keep you coming back! I stopped by “Oming’s Kitchen” to see the Lovely Salome she is the sweetest! I got my favorite Chicken bowl with a little siracha on top…Yum!

Look Steve Aoki loves Frach's fried ice cream too!

After that is was time for dessert again! Fried ice cream was calling our name so we headed over to “Frach’s” and enjoyed some out of this world ice cream! I wish this truck was a local, California is it’s home until the next Foodie event!  My overall experience was so much fun! I am so happy I got to attend finally and enjoy all the wonderful places to eat drink, I will be back next year fa sure! Thank you Foodie Fest for letting me partake in this event and I look forward to your next lovely visit!
