Christmas sugar cookies

December 14, 2016 Shaunte Sahagun

Lovelies!!

I have missed you dearly,

It’s almost Christmas and I am loving all the decorations, parties and not to mention FOOD!! Oh, how I love the holidays! Besides the holidays keeping me busy I have a ton of new and exciting changes coming to my life and Lovely Bites! I will be posting a Linq feature from Las Vegas famous strip next Monday so make sure to come back lovelies. As of today I am sharing a sugar cookies recipe I recently made to bring in some holiday cheer. I baked with my lovely friend Tara Dugan in her beautiful kitchen and home. Tara and me have been friends for a while now and we both embarked in our dream jobs and she has encouraged and supported me through this excited food and photography journey. Tara is a wonderfully talented wedding planner here in the Las Vegas area and I can;t wait for the day she plans my special day! For more about Tara and her work visit her site www.withlovebytaramarie.com

As for the sugar cookies we made them from scratch from Allrecipes.com sugar cookie recipe, but cheated with the frosting Pillsbury came in the clutch with some red vanilla frosting. YUM!  I love decorating cookies with sprinkles and that’s pretty much all I used on these lovely treats.  I have been indulging in all of what Christmas has to offer with specialty cocktails that warm me up to peppermint bark and dark chocolate it’s the most wonderful time of the year! I hope everyone has most of their Christmas shopping done, I finished yesterday! Sooo relieved! If you haven’t finished I wish you the best of luck these shoppers get aggressive the closer, it gets to Christmas! I have a few holiday parties I will be attending this weekend and will be sharing some of my favorite treats from them on my Instagram so keep an eye out! As far as my next post come back Monday the 19th to hear all about my new favorite spot to hang in Las Vegas, the Linq! Have a lovely weekend Lovelies!
